The 7th Annual Conference of European Environmental Advisory Councils was hosted by The Hungarian National Council on the Environment (OKT) in Budapest on 9-11 September 1999. The theme addressed the implications of the forthcoming EU eastern enlargement for European environmental policy.

The Conference was held at the Corinthia Aquincum Hotel on the Duna (Danube) west bank opposite Margaret Island.
