Portuguese National Council on Environment and Sustainable Development
On behalf of the Portuguese National Council on Environment and Sustainable Development (CNADS) and the European Environmental Advisory Councils it is our pleasure to invite your Council to the 8th Annual Conference of European Environmental Advisory Councils.
The Conference will be hosted by the Portuguese National Council on Environment and Sustainable Development and will be held in Sesimbra near Lisbon from 2–5 June 2000. The theme, "The Coastal Zones Sustainable Development Policies in Europe" will address the implications, among others, the integrated management of off-shore and land-based activities, sustainable tourism and the EU Water Framework Directive.
The official preliminary registration form is enclosed together with a call for papers for which abstracts will be required by the 15th of April. A background paper has been prepared with a series of topics to guide the preparations of your own papers and presentations.
Annual Conference: 2–5 June 2000 (please note carefully in your diaries)
Preliminary registration: by 15 March 2000 (find the preliminary registration form attached)
Final registration: by 15 April 2000 (a detailed final registration form to follow)
Paper abstracts: by 15 April 2000 (see the Call for Papers and instructions enclosed)
